Born in Kent, England - Designer, Writer, Producer.
He grew up in a Victorian seaside resort in Kent. He is the youngest of eight brothers. His father came from Edinburgh, Scotland, and his mother from Donegal, Ireland. He was educated in Canterbury, and represented Kent in a national poetry competition. A boy soprano, he was a keen chorister who performed at Canterbury Cathedral. Garry completed his education at Thanet Technical College in Broadstairs.
In his early twenties, he moved to London, where he worked at one of London's leading avertising agencies. Garry took a pay cut to move to John Cleese's company, Waterfall Productions. His time with John has seen him rise from tea boy, cat sitter, interior designer, and now after over twenty years, to Chief Executive Officer of John's various production companies. A solid team player, Garry works at an international level with a host of artists, managers, and their agents. He has developed a strong relationship with CAA in Los Angeles, NYC, PME in London, and Adrian Bohn in Sydney. He has considerable experience in the world of television, radio, theatre, film, and is now working on developing a multi-media project, which will involve Broadway and Hollywood.
A lover of dramatic art, Garry is not averse to a spot in the footlights himself. His recent stage work includes 'John Cleese's Life, Times, and Current Medical Conditions' (where he played the stage manager), and most recently in the "Alimony Tour".
A dry humour, and a talent for the dark arts, Garry is currently helping to produce, and provide additional material for John Cleese's one man show, which starts in Cambridge in May 2011.
Garry is a Director of DREAMTOWER PRODUCTIONS, which is currently co-producing the musical, 'The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd,' with Neil McPherson, Artistic Director of the Finborough Theatre, London - in association with Theatre Director, Ian Judge, and Designer Tim Goodchild.
Garry is also a co-producer with Bréon George Rydell, of a play devised by Shakespearian actor, Bille Brown. This play is based on an original work by Oscar Wilde called Mr. W.H., and it has had its first workshop at RADA in January 2011. The workshop was directed by Cjay Ranger, assisted by Head Dramaturg, Lloyd Trot, with actors from the Royal Academy.
